Leadership Approach
I will approach this task with the idea that every little act can cause a huge change. I believe that self-reflection and motivation is vital to being a leader, for if I don’t truly believe in the cause or that I’m doing it for the wrong reasons, I will fail to lead.
For me, self reflection is huge in two ways. One, it allows me to see what I can do better in the future, whether that be obstacles, unforeseen issues, and how well my plan worked out. It allows lets me see what I did well and what I can then do in other projects. Two, reflection lets me enjoy any and all accomplishments I achieved. Doing this gives me motivation and happiness that I tried to make a difference. |
Defining my “brand” of leadership is difficult for me because I don’t think myself as a brand. If I had to, I’d say it is “Passionate Caring”. That meaning I don’t perform the best unless I am passionate about it, but if the feeling is there, I will work to the bone for the cause. That pairs with the word caring for if I did not care about the cause, not I’m saying one cause has more importance than another, just sometimes certain issues hit the heart differently for each person. I’ve seen too often those in leadership positions do projects that they don’t fully care about, and the results of the project show and it only can hurt a cause.
"Leadership is being driven by ones passion to create an impact in someones life."
